6 Homemade Pain Relief Oils for Fast Natural Relief at Home

2. Ajwain Pain Relief Oil

Ajwain is also known as carom seeds. This is something that is easily found in kitchens. Along with enhancing the taste of food, it also has various household uses. In the past, people used it to improve digestion and relieve body stiffness. Homemade oil made from carom seeds is also quite popular.

To make carom seed oil at home, take 2 teaspoons of carom seeds (or carom seed powder), 4 teaspoons of mustard oil, and 3 to 4 drops of eucalyptus oil. First, warm the mustard oil slightly. Make sure the oil does not get too hot. After that, let it cool down a little. Now, thoroughly mix in the carom seeds and eucalyptus oil to prepare the mixture.

Once this mixture is ready, apply it to the shoulders, lower back, legs, or any other parts of the body experiencing significant pain. Massaging relaxes the body and creates a sensation of warmth on the skin. Massaging with this is considered most beneficial during the winter season. Stiffness and heaviness in the body are felt more intensely during winter. Mustard oil has natural warming properties, while eucalyptus oil provides a sense of freshness and coolness.

Massaging with a mixture of the two creates a pleasurable sensation. However, it is better to test it on a small area of the skin before applying it. If any issues such as irritation, redness, or an allergic reaction appear on the skin, discontinue use. Home remedies can be useful for general care, but consulting a doctor is the safest option in case of persistent or severe pain.
